The long awaited “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” movie was released March 12, 2016. Now with it being out for over two weeks a multitude of fans have had to the time to go see and give their own personal review of the movie. Just like the critics of the movie fans had mixed feelings about it. Some say that it accurately depicted the story in the DC comics, while others say it did not live up to the hype.
In anticipation of the film many had worries of the acting, however after the movie was out there hardly any complaints of how Ben Affleck (Batman) or Henry Cavill (Superman) did their jobs. Critics had more of a problem of how the story played out instead of what it seemed. Stephanie Zacharek, from Time Magazine, claimed “It’s so top-heavy with false portent that it buckles under its own weight.” Others had the same opinion with as in the movie there were parts in the movie that were literally “not-real.” Critics that had some good to say about the film compared it to the movies from the Marvel comics saying that it was not in the same quality as the popular “Avengers” movie but in the quality of the lesser independent Marvel superhero movies like “Iron Man 2.”

es to fan/viewer reaction, there is somewhat of a parallel of what they and the critics feel. Some of the public said it was not as exciting as they hoped and that some parts if not
payed attention too closely were confusing. Fans defended the movie by saying that it was the franchise’s first attempt at a collective action film. The students of FDHS neutral about the Batman and Superman clash. Nicholas Peebles, FDHS sophomore, said “What made it a bad movie was that it was missing the action.” Another FDHS sophomore, Rayquan Murphy says “It wasn’t that bad and that he liked the portrayal of the story.”
Overall, it is clear that the diverse reviews and reactions of “Batman v Superman” causing some confusion of how good the movie actually is. It seems that through the rough criticisms of the film that others still received it well saying the the franchise needed a sturdy base to build of from to get better. Despite of the public feels about the movie, there are others films coming from DC comics that include some of the same aspects of this one.
