The 51st Super Bowl took place on Sunday, Feb. 5 and it was definitely a game with a twist. The New England Patriots won with a score of 34-28 defeating the Atlanta Falcons.
The FDHS students and faculty give their reactions to the game.
Fort Dorchester High School’s wrestling team is no stranger to winning, which is evident to anyone who takes a simple look at the trophy case in the lobby.
Because of the success of previous teams, the current FD wrestling team works hard to maintain their reputation as one of South Carolina’s elite programs.
The coaches push the students who participate to give their absolute best, whether it be in practice or a actually in a match.
Phaizon Myers and Qu’Mari Jackson, members of the varsity wrestling team, share their thoughts.
On Sunday morning during a 9/11 commemoration ceremony Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton fell ill during her speech. The incident raised questions about her health. Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said that she started to feel “overheated”. The incident happened just days after she was seen coughing at some of her events. Republicans argue that her health is not as good as she’s trying to make it seem and it is a more serious issue.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign said that she suffered from seasonal allergies meanwhile her physician went into detail to why the presidential candidate has been seen coughing. According to Hillary Clinton’s physician the presidential candidate has had a prolonged cough and was diagnosed with pneumonia. But this is not the only health problem that Hillary Clinton has been diagnosed with,
In 1998 she was advised to take blood thinning medication as a precaution to blood clots. In 2009 she broke a bone and it caused her to suffer a concussion. But after what happened at the 9/11 commemoration ceremony, it is said that Hillary Clinton is recovery and is in good health.http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/11/health/hillary-clinton-health/index.html
FDHS students from the 2015-2016 school year knew that our school was building new additions with all the construction going on last year.
One of the more beautiful parts of the new construction is the new culinary arts room, with its large, glass, see-through walls and new equipment. Although the classroom is a nice addition, it is not the only new thing in that room.
We also have a new culinary arts teacher.
His name is Mr. Rhodes, and this is actually not his first time at Fort.
Rhodes attended Fort when he went to high school some years ago and now he is back with his Patriot Family.
In this video, get to know him better.
